Research

Interests

  • Major contributions have been made in the Water Resources Engineering (Ground water, Dam Engineering and Water supply networks) field.

  • The first concerns hydraulic management of ground water aquifers. The aim of project undertook was a modelling approach to the problem of site selection for recharge facilities with the aim of achieving the greatest possible pumping head reduction over the region of concern.

  • The second area involves investigation of water resources planning with the aim of dam designing especially in drought areas.

  • The last field concerns aspects of modelling and operational management of water distribution networks. It includes data reconciliation and parameter estimation investigations through field data, improving the reliability assessment of water supply systems, head driven simulation of water supply networks, unaccounted for water and leakage evaluation, applications of GIS and experts systems and optimization demand management, etc in water distribution networks.
